Today, we gather with heavy hearts to honour and celebrate the life of our beloved Elder Dr. Stephen Bismark Amponsah. Although words may never fully express the depth of our grief, they allow us to remember with gratitude, the remarkable man you were and the lasting impact you made on our lives.

From the moment we became part of this family, you welcomed us with warmth, kindness, compassion and genuine love. You never made us feel like outsiders. Instead, you embraced us as your own and treated us as your children. Your love was shown not only through your kind words but also through your actions. Whenever we visited, you advised us, encouraged us, prayed with us, and shared your wisdom and many life experiences. Every conversation with you carried a lesson, and every encounter left us strengthened, inspired, and deeply valued.

Your gentle smile, quiet strength, thoughtful words, caring heart, and gentle yet persevering spirit will remain with us forever. You understood the true meaning of family and constantly drew us closer, encouraging us to live in love, remain united, and raise our children in the fear and knowledge of God. Through both joyful and difficult times, you remained a source of strength, reassurance, and support. Your presence brought comfort, and your words gave hope. Even in moments of personal difficulty, you continued to encourage those around you and remained steadfast in faith..We will remember your voice, your admonishment, your wise counsel, the scriptures you shared, and the life experiences from which you taught us. We will remember the values you stood for, the principles you upheld, and the lessons you passed on to us.

Not only through the words and experiences you shared, but also through the life you lived, Your achievements, your resilience, your devotion to God, and your determination to persevere were an inspiration to us all. Your legacy will continue in the lives of your children, grandchildren, relatives, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing you.

Your passing has created a space that no one else can fill. We had hoped for more time with you, more celebrations, and more treasured conversations about spiritual life, leadership, academics, family, and the many lessons life had taught you. We had hoped for more opportunities to express how much you meant to us and how greatly we valued the moments shared together. Yet, even as we mourn, we are thankful for the years we shared and for the precious memories that death cannot take away.

Dada, thank you for your love. Thank you for welcoming us into your family. Mr Determination, thank you for your wise counsel, your prayers, your kindness, your encouragement and the beautiful moments. Thank you for the enduring example of faith, strength, discipline, and love that you have left behind.

As we say our final farewell today, we take comfort in knowing that your work on earth is complete.

Though you are no longer physically present with us, you will continue to live in our hearts and in the memories we carry. You will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished in our hearts.

Rest peacefully, Dada, knowing that your legacy of faith, perseverance, and love lives on through your family and through every life you touched.
