“Children's children are a crown to the aged..."
— Proverbs 17:6
Dear Grandpa, To the world, you were an accomplished leader and a faithful servant of God. To us, you were simply Grandpa—the one whose smile brightened every visit, whose gentle hugs made us feel loved, and whose life made us feel safe. Some of our most treasured moments were spent around your bedside.
We were too young to understand the pain you quietly endured. Instead, we saw your laughter, your courage, and your unwavering hope. You always looked at us with joy, seeing not only who we were, but the beautiful future God had prepared for us. One memory we will forever cherish is sharing your daily Vitamin C. To us, it was a simple routine with Grandpa. Looking back, we now understand it was your quiet way of choosing hope and holding on to the promise of watching us grow.
That simple moment will forever remind us of your love, strength, and determination. Though we are still too young to fully understand your passing, we know that as we grow, we will treasure the legacy you left behind—a legacy of faith, integrity, humility, and love. The values you planted in our parents are already becoming part of our lives, and for that, we will always be grateful.
We will dearly miss the countless blessings Grandpa showered on us whenever we visited him. We will miss those special moments when we would gather in his room, sharing meals, laughter, and the warmth of his presence.
More than anything, we will miss the grandfather whose name we proudly bear, a name that will forever remind us of his love, wisdom, and enduring legacy. Though he is no longer with us, the memories we shared and the impact he made on our lives will remain in our hearts forever. Grandma says he's in heaven smiling down on us.
Rest peacefully, Grandpa. We will carry your love in our hearts, your faith in our lives, and your memory into generations yet to come.
Lovingly remembered by your grandchildren.
